BMC pens cooperation deal with Canadian university

A delegation from the University of Manitoba in Canada recently visited the Kingdom to study a joint cooperation agreement with the Batterjee Medical College (BMC). The Canadian representatives were led by Dr. Emily Atfery, dean of the university’s faculty of medicine, and met with Dr. Khaled Batterjee, vice chairman of the board of trustees of Batterjee Medical College.

Both sides discussed several areas of mutual cooperation in different academic and scientific fields, as well as the implementation of joint programs that support education and development of Saudi students.

The delegation took a tour around BMC’s campus and was very much impressed with the advanced technologies the Saudi colleges and universities are using to advance the education of Saudi students.

Dr. Batterjee stressed the importance of creating such partnerships with international universities, a move that will strengthen education at BMC, since the University of Manitoba is one of the oldest and most prestigious centers around the globe in the field of medical education.
From his side, Dr. Hassan Shaibah, BMC’s Dean, stated that the college will continue its pursuit of excellence and will go on looking for strategic partners worldwide.
