Xoom Technologies expands into South African and Nigerian smartphone markets

On the last day of GITEX Technology Week 2015, Xoom Technologies, which newly opened its global headquarters in Dubai Internet City, announced its forays in the African mobile phone market with its pioneering line of smartphones and tablets – hailed as a game changer in the world of mobile devices.

The company joined hands with Dubai Silicon Oasis based Mobiflex to market the unique ranges of its mobile phones and tablets, Xoom X1, X1 Pro, X2 and XT1.

“We are thrilled to enter the rapidly growing African market through our Dubai headquarters via this strategic tie up with Mobiflex. The revolutionary built-in mobile projection technology is the unique selling point of both the X2 and XT1 smartphone and tablet which in essence strive to redefine communication and gaming and enhance the way people live, work and play,” said Samir Saade, Chief Executive Officer of Xoom Technologies. “The X1 and X1Pro range of smartphones represent cost effective and high-end phones, with features that are unparalleled in the smartphone arena.”

Xoom Technologies, through its R&D labs and development partners, deploys superior technologies in its smartphones while keeping prices well harnessed, to bring those unique products within everyone’s reach.

The Xoom product line is the world’s first set of mobile devices with built-in projection that will allow users to utilize laser projection technology to project mobile phone screen content externally on any surface.  The products are engineered utilizing a combination of licensed and proprietary patent pending hardware, firmware and applications.

“While the designs will be branded and promoted as an innovative range of smartphones and tablets, they will not be limited to built-in projection as the only innovation. The initial smartphone model sports a Kevlar outer shell, Gorilla Glass 4 screen, Harman Kardon sound system, massive memory capabilities, and unique technologies that extend battery life,” added Saade.

“Having secured large commitments from European and Levant entities already, Xoom Technologies looks to extend its footprint in the MENA region this year. We are using GITEX Exhibition to meet and appoint distribution partners that are qualified to distribute its unique range of smartphones and tablets,” added Saade.

Being a major participant at Gitex, XOOM is not only introducing its cutting edge smartphone line, but an exclusive glimpse into the future of its product line that will be introduced in coming months.
