Water Ministry OKs 36 water, sewage projects

Minister of Water and Electricity Engineer Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman Al-Hussein has signed 36 agreements for implementation of water and sewage projects worth SR906 million for various regions in the Kingdom, according to an online newspaper.


These agreements include implementation of a sewage network in Mindaq, a strategic reservoir in Albaha, completion of the expansion of the water purification station in Beish, pumping units for various centers in Riyadh, and sewage networks for various localities of Najran, a study and design of projects for water and sewage for Madinah, various phases for the completion of a comprehensive water project in Hail; the ninth contract to make water projects operational and their maintenance in various parts of Riyadh; and water network for localities of south Madinah.


Additional agreements included a sewage network for Taibah in Tabuk, electricity supply for the comprehensive project of Shuqaiq of Hail, a water feeder network in Jazan, a sewage network in Mahael in Asir, engineering services consultancy for various projects of leakage treatment in Riyadh, making various water projects operational and their maintenance in villages of north Makkah, completion of the water network, Jauf; meter-reading devices and a remote system for Abu Areesh, Jazan; storage in Faifa, Jazan; a water network and home connections, Hail; a drinking water project for Alahs; and ensuring water supply through tankers, north Aqiq.
