Heart of Sharjah, the emirate’s crown jewel for heritage-based lifestyle attractions will be at the heart of a spectacular family summer extravaganza.

For the next couple of months until 10 September, residents and tourists looking for value-added leisure need not look any further. Souq Al Shanasiyah, Heart of Sharjah’s vibrant old Souq, is at the centre of the destination’s bustle, and replete with shopping and dining choices. From cafés to restaurants, perfumeries to clothing, inspiring concept stores,  – almost all outlets at the Souq will be offering exciting discounts on most purchases, some of which can go up to 50 percent.  

Things not to miss? The Souq’s bountiful natural ice creams, Namlet – a refreshing traditional drink, original Emirati fish delicacies, and more. With every experience at Heart of Sharjah, one is enriched with priceless knowledge about the UAE’s history.  

Heart of Sharjah is the largest historical preservation and restoration project in the region. One of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority’s (Shurooq’s) projects, to be completed by 2025, it seeks to reflect what Sharjah was like over half a century ago, restore and revamp the city's traditional areas to create a destination with contemporary artistic touches, yet retain the feel of the 1950s.
