Sky News Arabia to Cover Inaugural Ceremony of New Suez Canal

Sky News Arabia will provide a comprehensive and up-to-date live coverage of the inauguration event of the new Suez Canal in Egypt on 6 August, the network announced today.

Sky News Arabia will also assign reporters to cities adjacent to the Canal as well as in Egypt’s capital, Cairo, in order to deliver real-time reportage and shed light on the tremendous efforts invested into the completion of the critical project within record time. 

In addition, Sky News Arabia will focus on the technical and economic benefits of the new Suez Canal through a series of field reports and interviews with senior economists, politicians and decision makers including Admiral Mohab Mamish, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Engineer Yasser Zaghloul, Chief Executive Officer at National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) that managed the dredging works of the project. 

The live coverage of the inaugural ceremony will also be streamed on the channel’s website and YouTube platform, as well as on various social media platforms.
