The Shoura Council called on the Public Transport Authority (PTA) to provide an environment conducive to the establishment of companies in the field of public transport and keep a regulatory role only.
The council called on the PTA to allocate special routes for buses to enhance the efficiency of urban mobility.
The council also called on the PTA to study increasing the representation of the private sector on its board of directors to achieve the objectives of Vision 2030, and develop the appropriate electronic mechanisms for receiving and handling complaints.
