Radisson Hotel Group launches recruitment drive in Saudi Arabia to create 1,200 new jobs

Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has launched its National Career Day to provide 1,200 jobs for young Saudis in the hospitality industry. The launch event was held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah Al Salam and attended by VIPs, Saudization officials and hundreds of candidates interested in working in the tourism sector. The National Career Day is being organized across the Radisson Hotel Group’s hotels in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Khobar with the aim to provide employment and development opportunities for Saudi graduates. The recruitment drive aims to fill more than 1,200 opportunities coming up in the next 3 years. Radisson Hotel Group has 40 hotels and +10,000 rooms in operation or under development in Saudi Arabia.

Tim Cordon, Area Senior Vice President, Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Radisson Hotel Group stressed the importance of supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030; “The hospitality sector has a duty to increase job opportunities for Saudi nationals and enable both Saudi men and women to develop a career in hospitality. The Saudi Government is investing heavily to boost tourism with the creation of new demand generators and the promotion of the country to new source markets. With the upcoming mega projects focused on different travel segments, we are expecting more opportunities for young Saudi nationals”.

This growth is in line with the major infrastructure developments and tourism investment such as Al Qiddiya, Neom, and King Abdullah Financial District. Radisson Hotel Group is committed to the successful socio-economic progress of the Kingdom through the development of a highly qualified and skilled national workforce as part of Vision 2030”, added Cordon.

Basel Talal, Regional Director, Saudi Arabia Kuwait, and Levant for Radisson Hotel Group said; “We currently operate 18 hotels in Saudi Arabia and we are going to double this number by 2021. We will create more than 1,200 opportunities in the coming 3 years to support this growth. We are delighted to create opportunities for Saudi nationals at all levels. The National Career Days in Jeddah, Riyadh and Khobar will allow us to reach more talent across a variety of functions, from human resources, sales and marketing, revenue, front office, room division, and finance.”

We have already made great progress, moving from six female employees in 2014 to 150 today.”
