Princess Al Anood Inaugurated “Basmat Kheir” Annual Exhibition

Under the patronage of HH Princess Al Anood bint Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saud, spouse of HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Adviser and Governor of Makkah region, Aloula hosted “Basmat Kheir” exhibition on June 9th  & 10th at the Jeddah Hilton Hall attracting over 1000 visitors that enjoyed shopping, entertainment, and a family centered Ramadan vibe.

“Basmat Khair” provides an opportunity to shop and have a good time and includes many corners, such as a women’s corner, a children’s corner, a food corner, and a specialized corner for productive families that showcases their best handmade products, a charity auction on fine Ramadan gowns, wall graffiti for kids to express their talents, a kids play zone sponsored by "Toys R Us,” the “Menkom wa elaykom” competition for participating vendors traditional Hijazi seating, and a photography zone.  

Dania Al Maeena, CEO of Aloula the hosting organization was thankful and expressed gratitude to Princess Al Anood’s support of “Basmat Kheir.” She also thanked all who contributed and participated in the success of this charitable event in this holy month, and stated: “We are very happy with the support that we received from sponsoring companies like SABIC, Zahid Group, Haji Husein Alireza & Co. Ltd., NESMA and the support of the local community including all participating vendors and exhibitors, volunteers, and social media influencers. We also ask everyone to join us in this two-day charitable event  for  will help tackle an important cause in our beloved city of Jeddah in this holy month.

By holding “Basmat Kheir” Aloula aims to gain the resources that enable the organization to execute its developmental programs that focus on the kids of South Jeddah. Some of the events highlights include a raffle draw on a car from Lifan Motors presented by Shaer Trading Industry & Contracting, and valuable prizes from Al-Farsi Jewelry. Most notably, all profits from this event will be allocated to help provide less fortunate families with their basic needs through support programs; and to support the Organization’s other programs such as skills and sports programs.

It is worth mentioning “Basmat Kheir” is the most prominent charitable event held during the month of Ramadan, because it is the product of the combined years of experience of Aloula, the first non-profit organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that has been working for 55 years on breaking the cycle of poverty through early intervention and the empowerment of lower income families in South Jeddah.
