NWC completes pumping reinforcement system in south and west Riyadh with 1m m3 capacity at a +683m SR

The National Water Company (NWC) announced the enhancement of the water pumping system in the west and south districts of Riyadh. The planned capacity is one million cubic meters at a cost of more than 683 million Saudi Riyals. The project will serve more than one million beneficiaries under company's efforts to provide sustainable water services to its customers.

 

 The company explained that the project in the west and south of Riyadh includes the construction of 6 cylindrical water reservoirs with a capacity of 167,000 cubic meters each, a 30 km main pipeline, and a pumping station with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day. NWC stated that the project was commissioned at its full capacity of one million cubic meters to ensure supply to its customers in Namar, Darihamiya, Shubra, Al-Suwaidi, Al-Zahra, Al-Shafa, Badr, Al-Marwah, Okaz, Uhud, Dirab, and Al-Hazm districts and National Guard Housing, located in the west and south of Riyadh.

 

The company explained that the project aims to secure water supply by improving the strategic storage of drinking water, increasing the efficiency of the operating system, improving the quality of water services, meeting water demand and keeping pace with the major urban boom in the capital Riyadh, which requires the construction of water and service projects.

 

NWC emphasized that the company continues to implement its strategic plans and complete its water and environmental projects according to the previously prepared schedules. NWC is keen to improve its services at the highest quality level to achieve its targeted goals and ensure the satisfaction of its customers.
