The Leisure Show, the only event dedicated to the leisure, sports and fitness industry in the UAE, is returning to Dubai on 28-30th September with the launch of brand new sports products and fitness programmes to the city by its industry leading partners and exhibitors.

Three key partners have been announced by the show organisers: REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) UAE (Association Partner); Technogym (Fitness Partner); and Dubai Sports Council (Strategic Partner).

 

The fitness industry in Dubai is regulated by REPs UAE, credited with raising standards in the city. “The Leisure Show Dubai is an excellent platform for us to extend our reach and raise industry standards throughout the rest of the Middle East,” said Catherine Hanson-Farid, Director of Operations at REPs UAE. “Dubai is leading the way in the region for healthy practices in many respects, and now can be seen as one of the world’s most health conscious cities, with one of the largest expat communities full of young professionals with high disposable incomes, an abundance of personal trainers and fitness destinations in hotel, residential and standalone gyms, all within a concentrated space. We recently launched a competition to find some of the most promising personal trainers in Dubai to grace the cover of our quarterly REPs fitness magazine and the entrants were very impressive, people from all over the world. We have narrowed it down to six finalists, judged by Lisa Durante (Editor, New You Magazine), Paul Aiken (Celeb Fitness Photographer) and Graeme Perry (Director, Limitless Supplements) and will announce the winner at The Leisure Show in The Hub on28th September at 1pm.”

Dubai Sports Council will launch The Hub, a new feature of The Leisure Show 2015, as Ghazi Al Madani, Manager of Sports and Tourism will provide the keynote on “The growth of sports events and facilities in hotels”. The Hub is a new forum for professionals within leisure facilities across the Middle East and Africa featuring speakers TechnoGym, hosting a “Wellness Workshop”; a workshop on “The systems approach to your aquatic facility” by Yas Waterworld; a full day of pool and spa workshops by Fluidra Middle East; and much more.

 

X-Golf, developed in Korea and now with offices in Downtown Dubai, is exhibiting for the first time in the Middle East and Africa and launching X-Golf Middle East to the industry at The Leisure Show 2015.
