Olay Regenerist announces the biggest upgrade in Olay history, which sees its proven formula boosted with new Skin Energising Technology. In the process of applying ground-breaking Cellular Bioenergetics research to skincare, Olay scientists set out to measure and quantify energy levels in young and ageing skin.  The research revealed for the first time that there is a sharp decline in the skin’s cellular bioenergy between a woman’s 20s and 60s . As a result, Olay has also identified additional triggers that can damage or reduce skin energy production, in addition to chronological ageing, such as UV radiation. Cellular Bioenergetics insights revealed that aged skin not only has a different appearance but also becomes less responsive to anti-aging ingredients because of declines in cellular bioenergy – a concept coined skin fatigue. This prompted Olay to reformulate its Olay Regenerist range to fight skin fatigue and improve aged cells’ appearance and ability to respond to anti-aging ingredients.

The revolutionary Olay Regenerist upgrade is designed to improve skin’s responsiveness to anti-aging skin care with the introduction of Skin Energising Technology which contains a complex of ingredients that energises surface skin turnover.  The complex includes new anti-aging ingredients and optimised levels of proven Olay Regenerist ingredients, Niacinamide and Pal-KTTKS. These proven ingredients have been increased by up to 200% to help creating an improved formula which increases penetration of these key ingredients into skin’s surface layers by up to 55%. 

 

Youth boosting ingredients: 

New! Olivem - A derivative of olive oil which has been modified to increase the penetration of anti-aging ingredients into the skin’s surface layers.   In a clinical study, a moisturising formula containing Olivem has been shown to help decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  

Niacinamide - Also known as Vitamin B3 it is an essential nutrient in our diets.  In multiple clinical studies, moisturizing formulas containing Niacinamide have been shown to help maintain skin’s moisture barrier and increase natural exfoliation rates in the skin’s surface layers.  

Pal-KTTKS - A fragment of a collagen molecule linked to a lipid molecule to enhance penetration into the skin’s surface layers.  In clinical studies, moisturising formulas containing Pal-KTTKS were shown to help decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  

 

In addition, Lys’Lastine V has been applied to New Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Super Firming Serum and Microsculpting Anti-ageing Cream:

Lys’Lastine V®:  A natural extract of dill seeds.  In a clinical study, a moisturizing formula containing Lys’lastine was shown to help improve skin’s elasticity.
