Hadaf mobile office offers telecom jobs

A mobile office of the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) covered many areas in Makkah last month to recruit Saudis for jobs and training opportunities in the telecommunication sector.

It had a section for women where Saudi women could submit their resumes or inquire about investment opportunities, said a source.

The mobile office had a total of 682 visitors in one month, 250 of them were males and 432 females, said the source.

The office received more women than men in a month because it focussed on offering job opportunities to women.

The Fund has also cooperated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development to support women job-seekers and offer them suitable jobs that would ensure their privacy and safety, said the source.

The mobile office also oversaw the signing of several contracts by big companies to support small and medium enterprises.

It also offered workshops for both men and women on writing resumes, job search, workload stress management and other workplace issues.

The source said the office introduced the Fund’s two programs, Hadaf and Duroob, for the development of human resources.

“The office also offered workshops for business owners, employers, public sector executives on how to advertise job vacancies and how to attract applicants,” the source said.

The Fund’s purpose is to bridge the gap between job-seekers and employers. It also worked with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development to offer job opportunities for orphans.

The source also said that the fund has the vision to not only offer job opportunities but also to train people on maintaining a steadily progressing career path.
