The wait is almost over for tech fans and savvy shoppers eager to get their hands on the latest gadgets and smart home technologies at special deals as this year’s GITEX Shopper Spring and Shopper Smart Living get set to kick off tomorrow morning at 11:00am, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

 

The world’s top tech brands and the regional power retailers including Jacky’s Electronics, Jumbo, E-Max Electronics, Plug Ins, Sharaf DG and Samsung, have promised exciting new product launches and unbeatable deals across the full range of technology, communication and entertainment products being showcased. Products include the latest mobile phones and smartphones, tablets, laptops, HD TVs, cameras, gaming consoles, photographic equipment, wearable tech, smart home and lifestyle appliances, white goods and more.

 

A number of new zones being introduced this year include the ‘Xbox Gaming Zone’ and ‘This Hot! That's Cool!’ experience zone, offering visitors the opportunity to test and experience the latest technologies, new launches and gadgets that are available for purchase or will be coming soon.

More than half a million dirhams worth of prizes will be up for grabs at the shows. Prizes include: Obi smartphones in the ‘Visit & Win raffle’, Police branded watches in the ‘Scratch & Win’ raffle, daily prizes of two spectacular travel packages worth AED 20,000 and AED 50,000 cash and a grand prize – a brand new Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV.

 

The latest cool and trendy gadgets are also up for grabs in the GITEX Shopper Spring competition which started earlier this month on Arabian Radio Network (ARN), and include Oppo smartphones, Canon products and Fuji Instax Mini Cameras.

 

Visitors to Shopper Smart Living, co-located with GITEX Shopper Spring, will be able to experience the simplicity, comfort and convenience of a connected home thanks to the new ‘Smart Home Experience Zone’. Designed to look like a high-tech dream home, the new zone is a dedicated area that demonstrates the user-friendliness of smart home systems, offering visitors an opportunity to go hands-on with the latest innovations in smart home technology.

 

Students visiting the show will have the opportunity to submit their best report cards to win one of four university scholarships offered by Amity University Dubai. The scholarships have a cumulative value of AED 140,000 and are applicable to any Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree offered by the University.

 

GITEX Shopper Spring 2016 and Shopper Smart Living will take place from 30 March - 2 April and will open from 11:00am – 11:00pm every day.

 

Tickets are AED25/- per person, include access to both GITEX Shopper Spring and Shopper Smart Living and are available at the venue and select ZOOM outlets. Entry is AED 10 per student for groups of 50 and above.
