GCC joint security muscled up

GCC interior ministers reviewed the contents of the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman that aims to promote GCC joint action in the field of security.
The ministers were in the capital to attend their 17th consultative meeting, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, which aimed to boost cooperation and coordination and review various security development.
Following the meeting, Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, GCC secretary-general, said: “The interior ministers discussed a number of important security issues that will enhance the joint security work and achieve GCC goals in protecting security and stability in the Gulf region.”
The ministers, meanwhile, congratulated Saudi Arabia for Vision 2030, the ambitious plan to transform the Saudi economy from reliance on the oil sector, and also thanked King Salman for promoting the march of the Gulf countries toward achieving the aspirations of GCC citizens.
The ministers who came for the meeting were Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani, Qatari prime minister and minister of interior; Sheikh Mohammed Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, deputy premier and minister of interior of Kuwait; Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE deputy premier and interior minister; Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Bahraini interior minister, and Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al-Busaidy, Oman’s interior minister.
