First Mills pays SAR 6.3M fine for GFSA

First Milling Co. (First Mills) said it paid, on Dec. 11, SAR 6.3 million fine to the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) regarding the lawsuit filed by the authority against the company for the violations arising from the implementation of the provisions of the Flour Mills Law.

The step came as neither party involved in the lawsuit appealed the decision within the allowed timeframe, the company explained in a statement to Tadawul.

In September, First Mills received decision number (2) issued in case number (4) for the year 2023 from the committee in charge of reviewing the violations arising from the implementation of the provisions of the Flour Mills Law, in relation to the lawsuit filed by GFSA, according to data available on Argaam.

The fine imposed was SAR 6.3 million against the nearly SAR 70 million requested by the authority.
