Emirates Palace Reports High Occupation During the Summer Season

Emirates Palace, a true icon of Abu Dhabi’s greatest luxury experience, achieved an increase of 20% in its occupancy rates during the summer season and eyes further tourist influx in the capital for the upcoming season.

“Coming from a quite high occupancy rate in 2016, Emirates Palace has steadily increased its figures for the month of June and July of 2017. Several aspects have helped us reach this peak, particularly our well-formed summer packages, the enforced sales activity we had in the GCC region mainly in Saudi and Bahrain, as well as our kids’ programme, ” said Mr. Holger Schroth, General Manager of Emirates Palace.

In an exclusive interview, Schroth further discussed the successful experiences that took place at Emirates Palace during the beginning of the season. For the Holy month of Ramadan, the Palace saw a great success for its sumptuous Iftar and Suhoor offerings. Schroth said, “For this year’s Ramadan offerings, we built a unique Ramadan pavilion overlooking the stunning views of the pristine beach. Throughout the four weeks, we managed to serve more than 20,000 meals during Iftar and Suhoor for our esteemed guests.”

Schroth also noted the achievements of Namaste Abu Dhabi, a showcase held in line with Abu Dhabi Summer Season. In partner with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, the event brought the greatest Bollywood melodies in the city last 18th of August. He said, “It is truly an honour for Emirates Palace to have participated in such a prestige programme prepared by the municipality for the tourists and its residents”. Namaste Abu Dhabi received commendations from its audiences, drawing more than 1,300 people to the luxury hotel.

Emirates Palace continues its year-long drive of showcasing opulence in the comforts of Corniche with its special packages for the remaining months of the year. The spectacular Emirates Palace Summer Kids’ Programme, which has gathered over 820 children over its course, will continue to gather children in an eventful day filled with sports and skills workshops

until the 31st of August. Schroth commented that children and parents can look forward to the opening of the Kids Palace, an unparalleled kids’ club set to welcome the young ones in 2018.

Eid Al Adha is sure to be an exciting holiday for the Palace, with exceptional offers of up to 25% discounts bringing the hotel close to 70% occupancy rate from the 31st of August.

The luxury five-star destination will also be participating in a range of major events in relation to the city and the country. In addition to the holiday celebrations for the remaining months of the year, several educational conferences are expected to take place in the beginning of October followed by the annual security conferences. Among the events lined up will be the collaboration with the soon-to-open Louvre Museum for a grandeur showcase during its opening later this year.

“The last quarter of the year is traditionally the busiest time of the year for Emirates Palace. Our guests can expect major events which we will be partaking in as well as exceptional staycation packages for the months to come,” concluded Schroth.
