The Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), the umbrella organization of malls in Dubai announced the winners of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) ‘Shop, Spin and Win’ raffle promotions. With the support of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the first ‘spin the wheel’ was held on 5th January at Global Village where 5 lucky shoppers had the chance to win cash prizes ranging from AED 10,000 to AED 40,000. 

 

This DSF, the group is giving shoppers an opportunity to spend AED 200 at any of the 13 participating malls and win cash prizes every week till 31st of January 2019. A total of 20 additional lucky shoppers will have a chance to win up to AED 800,000 during the next four weeks of DSF.

 

The first week’s raffle draw winners are Aira Lapie (Filipino), Allan Gonzales (Filipino), Mohammed Hossain (Bangladeshi) and Vanisha Shevkani (Indian) who won AED 30,000, 10,000, 40,000 and 20,000 respectively. The 5th winner from the first draw, Ms Karen Kendall will spin the wheel in one of the following weeks of the campaign.

 

After winning the cash prize, Vanisha Shevkani, the ecstatic winner said “I was shocked, excited and thankful. I was planning to pursue higher education and now I am going to use this money for my post-graduation program. I still can’t believe that my favorite hobby will now support me in my edification. By contributing to my education, this prize money will become a part of me for forever.” 

 

Set up under the patronage of the Dubai Department of Economic Development, the DSMG promotes shopping, retail trade and the mall industry in Dubai. The malls participating in the DSMG’s promotion this year includes Al Barsha Mall, Al Bustan Centre, Al Mulla Plaza, BurJuman, Century Mall, City Centre -Shindaga, City Centre -Me' aiesm, Dubai Outlet Mall, Etihad Mall, Karama Centre, Oasis Mall, Reef Mall, and Times Square Centre.
