Dubai One, the English language channel of Dubai Channels Network (DCN) today revealed its new TV season that features a range of business, reality TV and drama programmings. The network – a division of Dubai Media Inc. – also revealed that it has produced the first programme in the Arab world that combines video games with reality TV - in cooperation with one of the world’s largest luxury car companies and a global electronic application.

 

Sarah Jarman, Director at Dubai One, said: “Our aim through this latest TV season is to provide our audiences with a unique variety of programming that reflects Dubai One’s status as a highly-developed media platform for local, regional and in fact global audiences. We also seek to further enhance DCN’s position as a market-leading entertainment group, with broadcasts that employ the highest standards in content quality and use of technology.”

 

Sarah added: “We are also pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new reality TV programmer concept, that combines video games with reality TV, and which will be filmed at selected locations across the UAE. Through this programme we are combining interactivity with high-quality content, offering an exciting proposition that is very different from TV shows normally shown to audiences.”

 

Dubai One has also opened the doors for public participation in the second season of its reality show ‘Fashion Star’, a first-of-its-kind on Arab TV channels that will show case Arabic talent in the field of fashion design and feature the internationally renowned designer Reem Acra along with other famous designers from the Arab world. The new TV season available on Dubai One includes ‘X Factor UK Season 13’ airing every Friday and Saturday at 8:30 PM, ‘Queen of Hearts’ - a story of a love that must overcome the barrier of several mysterious twists, conspiracy and crime (Spanish-dubbed into English),‘Captain Alatriste’ – a new series about a soldier living in the 17th century (Spanish-dubbed into English), and ‘Vikings Season 4’- a historical series revolving around the life of Ragnar Lothbrok, a man on the edge of myth.
