Canon Middle East appointed Wim Wynants to the position of General Manager for Canon in Qatar.  Mr Wynants will lead Canon Office Imaging Solutions (Doha), recently established to strengthen Canon’s in-country presence in the region, demonstrate the company’s commitment to operating closer to customers and accelerate Canon’s growth in the rapidly evolving Qatari market.

Mr Wynants will ensure that Canon Office Imaging Solutions (Doha) provides local customers with more opportunities to receive direct advice on products and services from Canon professionals. 

Canon Middle East’s Deputy Managing Director, Naoshi Yamada, said, “Wim’s broad and diverse global experience is exactly what our organisation needs in Qatar to drive our business expansion. The Qatari market is growing at a rapid pace and we need a leader with the depth and breadth of Wim’s experience to maximize our opportunities in this evolving market.

Mr Yamada further added that Mr Wynants embodied the entrepreneurial spirit Canon Middle East sought to further its business.  

Mr Wynants comes to Canon in Qatar with over 18 years of international management roles across Europe, the Middle East, the USA, South East Asia and Africa. In his new role, Mr Wynants is expected to bring leadership and fresh insights that will drive the company’s growth in the near future and beyond.  

The variety of solutions available to the market currently spans from imaging needs to office solutions and managed print services.
