Started in 1936 by Giovanni Vittori Bonaldo, the craft-based business specializing in metal working, has expanded to be one of the leading producers of first class furniture and home furnishings. From  the creation of its first products, the bedsteads in 1950’s and iron beds during the 60’s, Bonaldo followed an intuition of making the folding bedstead which went on to become a market standard in the industry, leading to the expansion of creating a wide range of furniture products and interior decors.

 

At the 2015 edition of Salone del Mobile International Furniture exhibit, Bonaldo presented more than 25 new products highlighted contemporary sofas, armchairs and tables in collaboration with various top Italian designers.  Mauo Lipparini designed the Blazer armchair, Blend steel and solid wood coffee tables, Secret storage poufs, Monforte and Tie coffee tables. The structure collection by Alain Gilles and the All-One and All-Two modular sofas as well as the Nikos Armchair are creations of Sergio Bicego.
