5 million passenger level is exceeded first time in Turkish Airlines history for the month of February

Turkish Airlines reached the highest Load Factor in February with 79.7%. Total Load Factor improved by 6.4 points to 79.7% with an increase of 14% in Available Seat Kilometer, while international LF increased by 6.6 points to 79.1%.

 

-Double digit growth in demand (revenue per kilometer) that commenced in July 2017, kept on with 24% demand growth in February 2018.

 

-Excluding international-to-international transfer passengers (transit passengers), number of international passengers went up by 27%.

 

-In February, cargo/mail volume increased by 39,4%, compared to February 2017. Main contributors to the growth in cargo/mail volume, are Middle East with 61% increase, N. America with 52% increase, and Europe with 39% increase.

 

-In February, Load Factor increased for all regions. N. America, Africa, Europe and Domestic Lines showed visible growth among other regions with 11,1 points, 9,9 points, 6,3 points and 4,9 points increase, respectively.

 

Evaluation of January-February 2018 Traffic Results:

 

-During January-February, increase in demand and total number of passengers was 27% and 31%, respectively, over the same period of last year. Total number of passengers reached to 10,8 million.

 

-During January-February, total Load Factor improved by 6.9 points up to 79.7%, while international Load Factor increased by 7.1 points, up to 78.8%.

 

-Cargo/mail carried increased by 44% and reached to 195 thousand tons, thanks to strong pick up in cargo/mail volume in February of 2018.
