Wallan Trading Company signs a strategic partnership agreement with Skop for Digital Applications

Wallan Trading Company, the authorized distributor of Hyundai cars in the Central region of Saudi Arabia, has signed a strategic agreement with Skop Holding Group, specialized in advanced technology and applications, to operate car rental services on the state-of-the-art IDRIVE platform to serve the largest segment of customers using this application and to keep pace with digital services.

The agreement was signed at Wallan Trading Company headquarters in Riyadh in the presence of Mr. Fahad bin Saad Al-Wallan, Chairman of Wallan Trading Company, Mr. Ali bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fulaij, Chairman of Skop Holding Group, Mr. Tarek bin Fahad Al-Dahmash, Director General of Car Rentals at Wallan Trading Company and Dr. Mohamed bin Abdo Saeed Al-Moghalis, Vice President of Skop Technology, in addition to senior executives in both companies.

This application includes car sharing as a type of car rental making it a completely different service from the traditional car rental system designed for people who want to rent cars for short periods of time (a few hours). Payment will be only made for the period of time used and the distance traveled, anytime anywhere within 24 hours, to provide cars throughout the city in specific parking lots that are often close to the customer in order to save time. They are also available in vital locations such as markets, public places, business centers and events.

Following the signing of the agreement, Mr. Fahad bin Saad Al-Wallan expressed his happiness, stressing that it is a new step from Wallan Trading Company with its partners “Skop Holding Group”, owner of IDRIVE application, to develop its rental services in which Wallan Trading Company has extensive experience. “We are constantly trying to develop our services and this agreement confirms that we are in line with our long-term strategic plans to develop our business, especially at the digital service level,” he said.

The first IDRIVE application service of its kind was launched as a trial in Saudi Arabia last May and will be officially launched in the main cities to be expanded later to other cities and governorates in the Kingdom. This full-fledged service will be the best and most cost-effective option as well as an alternative to owning or renting a car.

After the signing of the contract, Dr. Mohamed Al-Moghalis, Vice President of Skop Technology, explained to the attendees how to use the IDRIVE application and its features, which will save a lot of time and money instead of going to the rental offices. In addition, they provide carefully equipped cars including fuel, comprehensive insurance and full cleanliness, as well as the availability of all models and categories required.

The application also provides an authorization service directly linked to the Absher system known as “TAMM”; all services related to this application will be also digital.
