Ministry of Housing hands over 316 villas in Uyaynah

Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, emir of Riyadh, handed over a total of 316 residential villas to deserving Saudi citizens on Thursday. The fully furnished villas are part of the Al-Uyaynah Residential Project of the Ministry of Housing, located north of Riyadh. Each villa, with two stories and four bed rooms, is spread over an area of 500 square meters. The project is an integrated one with all the utilities, as well as two mosques, three schools, gardens and entertainment facilities.

Prince Faisal also witnessed the signing of a contract of a project to develop land, owned by the ministry in Al-Uyaynah. The land, spreading over an area of 1.26 million square meters, will consist of 1,237 plots to be handed over to beneficiaries. The development of the land is expected to be completed within 495 days.

 

Upon arrival at the venue of the project site, Prince Faisal was received by Prince Ahmed Bin Abdullah, governor of Diriyah, Minister of Housing Majed Bin Hoqail and Head of Markaz Al-Uyaynah and Al-Jubaila Saud Bin Abdullah.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Housing Hoqail said that the residential projects are part of the ministry’s “Sakani” housing scheme. The ministry is implementing the project in cooperation with real estate developers in various regions of the Kingdom. “This is part of the ministry’s plan to increase the percentage of citizens who own a house to 60 by 2020 and 70 by 2030 in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” he added. Al-Uyaynah is a town located 30 km north of the Riyadh city.
