The Ministry of Labor and Social Development branch, and Red Sea Markets Company Limited, owner of Red Sea Mall, has signed a memorandum of understanding to create employment opportunities for families enrolled in social security and ensure their independence and offer the opportunity to market their products at free permanent outlets at Red Sea Mall.

The memorandum was signed by Mr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Tawi, Director General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Makkah Region branch and Mr. Mohammed Al Asiri, Marketing Manager at the Red Sea Markets Company Ltd, owner of Red Sea Mall.

The Director General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Makkah Region branch, Mr. Abdullah bin Ahmad Al-Tawi, explained that the objective of this memorandum is to raise awareness about the culture of community responsibility, as well as develop Saudi families enrolled in social security by helping them find jobs and market their products. He thanked the management of Red Sea Mall for their proactivity and citizenship for supporting the families and providing them free outlets. He also anticipated that the rest of the malls in the region would follow Red Sea Mall in implementing this initiative.

Eng. Aidrous Albar, Executive Member of Red Sea Markets Company Ltd, owner of Red Sea Mall, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry in creating job opportunities for Saudi citizens and empowering them to market and sell their products through permanent outlets in the mall in accordance with the agreed requirements between the two parties.

"As part of our social responsibility, we are pleased to sign the Memorandum of Understanding for the productive families’ booth. We will strive to play a leading role in supporting our community, through the “Osar” (families) project, which will promote the improving the lives of families and beneficiaries of productive charities. This step also comes within the framework of our determination to achieve the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020, by empowering the neediest groups by integrating them into the community and ensuring their entry into the labor market", said Al Asiri.

He added: "We realize that the Ministry has a great role in creating career opportunities, enabling participation in the labor market and spreading a culture of social responsibility. Under its great vision and with this partnership, we are confident that we will achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 to promote the wellbeing of Saudi families and society at large. We at the mall have experience in extending support to productive families during the previous two years, under the umbrella of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and supervised by “ala mazaji” group. This will be the biggest motivation for the success of this project, in addition to the support and collaboration with the Ministry."

Red Sea Mall has introduced and implemented numerous pioneering initiatives, including the productive family booth where more than 200 productive families have been honored for over two years, in addition to the recently launched retail placement program within the mall. Through these initiatives, the mall seeks to provide opportunities for families registered with social security to contribute to the Saudi Vision 2030.
