The Saudi Arabian Airlines organized a trip to Seattle’s Museum of Flight, the largest educational museum on flight and aviation in the world, for media personnel.

 

“The museum showcases all kinds of aircrafts and their development throughout history. There are sailplanes, wooden planes, jet aircrafts and space aircrafts. The fastest plane in history is the M-21, which was made in 1960. Its speed can reach up to 2,200 miles per hour,” said a source.

The source also said only two models of the M-21 were made.

“The plane can fly up to 80,000 feet high surpassing rockets in speed and height. The museum also has old military aircrafts and the kind of battles and wars the aircrafts were used in. There was also a section on astronauts and the kind of training they go through and equipment they use in their missions,” said the source.

The source added the most contributing aircrafts manufacturing company to the museum is the Boeing Company.

“The Saudi Arabian Airlines will be receiving 10 B777-300ER airplanes manufactured by Boeing Company. The company contributed small and large aircrafts to the museum along with the story behind each aircraft. The company also made the airplane that was led by Paul Tibbets, the American pilot who flew the aircraft that dropped the first atomic bomb in Hiroshima in 1945,” said the source.

The source added the company contributed more than 150 historical aircrafts to the museum.

“Seattle is located in Washington State in the United States. It is the biggest city northwest of the US. The city overlooks the Pacific Ocean and has a lot of trade relations with Asian countries. The city is known for its greenery and for having giant companies and known universities such as Washington University,” said the source.

The source also said the city has giant companies such as Microsoft, The Boeing Aircrafts Manufacturing Company, Amazon and Starbucks. The city was named after a Native American chief who’s name was pronounced “see-ahlsh” but it was difficult for English settlers who came to the area in 1851 to pronounce it, so they Anglicized it to Seattle. Seattle is only 113 miles away from the Canadian border.
