DIHAD has grown to become a key global platform where two fields – aid and assistance providers, and the corporate and governmental sectors – come together as one.
This annual event aims to unite the world’s humanitarian aid and development communities in collaboration, and spark new ways of supporting all those around the world who are being adversely affected by crises, disasters and natural calamities.
For its 20th edition, the 2024 event will look both to the past and future, under the theme of ‘DIHAD 2004-2024: Humanitarian Diplomacy and a Journey to the Future’. Sessions will focus on humanitarian diplomacy in relation to areas such as: access and human security; climate change; the migration of people; and global health challenges. Additionally, the event will look to identify how humanitarian diplomacy strategies can forge new links, and put greater focus on the role and potential of women and youth.
DIHAD attendees include key decision-makers from leading NGOs, UN Agencies, charity organisations and governmental bodies, together with aid, education and construction providers from the private sector.
