HRH Crown Prince Attends Diriyah Formula E Race

 His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense attended here today the second round competitions of the Diriyah Formula E Race 2021, which took place in the historical Diriyah for the third year, in a row, within the seventh season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

 

On arrival to the race track, HRH the Crown Prince was received by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sports.

 

Following playing the national anthem, HRH the Crown Prince went to the main stage to watch the race.

 

The race was attended by Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture; Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation; Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee; Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and a number of guests.

 

The race was held for the first time at night with the participation of 12 international teams over two days at the Diriyah track. The track is 2.83 km long and lit with low consumption LED technology, powered by renewable energy for the first time in the history of the race, as part of implementing the best global initiatives in the field of environmental and economic sustainability, in line with the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

 

The sports sector in the Kingdom is witnessing great quantum leaps thanks to the unprecedented support of HRH the Crown Prince and his keenness and continuous follow-up, which contributed to the sector’s success in hosting and organizing international sporting events.
