University Of Dundee ‘Produces’ Future Leaders

Scotland based University of Dundee which is taking part in the 7th Gulf Education Conference and Exhibition at University of Business and Technology (UBT) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on the 20 and 21 February 2018, features in the World’s Top 200 universities and one of only 12 in the United Kingdom to also hold a Gold Award in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017.

“We are also ranked among Europe’s most innovative universities, coming out top in the UK in the Nature Innovation Index 2017 and in the top five among Reuters’ `Most Innovative Universities’ behind only Cambridge, Imperial, Oxford and Manchester,” Jenny Cook, Senior International Officer of the University for Africa & Middle East, said.

Our core mission, he said, is to transform lives, locally and globally, through the creation, sharing and application of knowledge. “We are doing that in all sorts of ways,” he said. “The teaching we offer forms part of a student experience that is consistently rated among the best in the UK, and is producing graduates who are ready to help solve real-world problems and become future leaders across society.”

Cook said the research work at the University has a real impact on people’s lives in Scotland and around the world. “We are focused on shaping the future through innovative design, promoting the sustainable use of global resources, and improving social, physical and cultural wellbeing,” he said. “

The two-day Gulf Education Conference is committed to supporting global education programs through student recruitment as well as facilitating partnerships between international institutions, academies, schools, and universities with Ministries of Education from the MENA region.
