UAE’s Green Infrastructure Growth Plans to Be Discussed at the upcoming Middle East Smart Landscape Summit

The 8th edition of the Middle East Smart Landscape Summit, held with the support of Dubai Municipality as the Official Government Partner and organized by Expotrade Global will kickstart on the 7th of April at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa.

Following the theme, Building Healthy Natural Environments and Sustainable Communities, the trends in the landscaping industry in the region and topics on sustainable landscaping techniques, new and innovative technologies in landscape architecture, and green roofs and walls will dominate the two-day conference agenda. 

Yousif AlMutawa, CEO, Sharjah Sustainable City will deliver the welcome address at the event. The program agenda will cover keynote presentations, panel discussions and case study presentations. Taleb Abdulkareem Jilfar, Executive Director - Infrastructure Services Division, Dubai Municipality, Michael Austin, Senior Urban Planner, City of Bellevue, Washington, Rob Lockhart, Chief Compliance Officer, Dynamo Playgrounds, Andrew Leech, Commercial Director, Geofabrics Limited, Khaled M. Abdelgawad, Design Director & Partner, Schaduf, and Fady Nassim, Executive Head of Urban Planning, Jeddah Economic Company will deliver presentations on the first day of the event.

Over 40 subject matter experts will participate in panel discussions on topics related to building sustainable cities, the evolving role of a landscape designer, innovative landscape design in the development and maintenance of recreational & sports facilities, and reinventing green livable cities in the Middle East and maintaining iconic landmarks through the test of time. 

In its eighth edition, over 400 senior landscape architects and designers, urban planners, sustainability experts, engineering consultants, along with municipal and government officials from across the GCC region will attend the event. The event has the support of over 25 leading solution providers such as Dynamo Playgrounds, Alyaf Geocomposites, Bin Hendi Play, Hunter Industries, Schaduf, and Gulf Perlite, to name a few.
