Sanofi KSA launches pediatric initiative "Happy Children Healthy Children"

In collaboration with Saudi Pediatric Association’s, Sanofi KSA has launched its pediatric initiative to promote health for children. Under the slogan of “Happy children, Healthy children”, Sanofi aims to widen the scope of its healthcare offerings to Saudi young patients with innovative products and services in addition to periodic launch of awareness initiatives dedicated to children, parents, healthcare professionals and public authorities. The core objective of conference this conference was to provide a clear picture of children healthcare in Saudi Arabia and to present the Sanofi's Pediatrics Initiative as a supportive element in this regard.

Sanofi’s efforts take multi approaches towards equipping parents with the best tools to make sure that their kids are strictly prepared to live a healthy and happy life. This initiative is an effective yet fruitful partnership between Sanofi and its entity Sanofi Pasteur and demonstrates the willingness and commitment of Sanofi towards pediatric healthcare throughout the Saudi’s most important pediatric symposium, which attracted more than 400 physicians.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Salah Mousa, the General Manager of Sanofi, said: “Over the years, Sanofi remains an ideal provider of healthcare solutions and services that address the childhood health issues, from the simplest ones to the life-threatening cases. Sanofi always seeks to diversify its healthcare experience offered to children with innovative products, services, awareness initiatives and digital tools that can help patients in various areas including pain management, communicable diseases, chronic diseases and specially diabetes management”.

Professor Abdulaziz Altuwaim, Vice President of the Saudi Pediatric Association said: “According to the latest studies, 2 % of children under the age of 5 die from diarrhea; and 7% of morality rate is caused by pneumonia. Focusing our attention on improving quality the children health care is fundamental to achieving better health outcomes. During the Saudi Pediatric Association’s 2nd pediatric update symposium we are keen to showcase the newest updates to the pediatric society in Saudi Arabia, supported by the great efforts and solid commitment of Sanofi to boost children’s’ health care in Saudi Arabia”.
