King Abdulaziz Public Library Launches "Reading Marathon" for children in its third session

The King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh launched its "Summer Reading Marathon" during its summer cultural activity, which is offered to young and young children.


The Marathon aims to instill a culture of reading in children and to facilitate the delivery of diverse books from picture and public culture, information about the regions of the Kingdom, readings on science, communication sciences, children's poetry, biography, simplified history and other works that are suitable for reading levels in children. And ages, the beneficiaries of this race provided by the library are their age groups between 5-15 years.


The Library opens its doors to welcome its children during the marathon on Sunday evening and Monday at the branch of the library in Khurais Road, and on Tuesday and Wednesday evening at the library branch in Al-Murabba neighborhood. The name Marathon reads to children the spirit of honest competition and enhances the spirit of competition towards receiving, reading, The books presented, stimulates them to achieve the highest levels of reading, and makes reading is the end and goal and a means to achieve mental development and expand the imagination of children.
The King Abdulaziz Public Library is one of the first libraries in the Kingdom that deals with the culture of the child. It has special sections for children. It has also published more than 70 children's books, including Arabic and translated children's stories
