Emirates Palace: Recognised as Offering the Very Best in Housekeeping

Asia’s finest housekeepers gathered from 8-9 September at the International Housekeeper’s Summit in Mumbai, India to learn who would be crowned 2017’s Best Housekeeper in Asia. Emirates Palace’s Executive Housekeeper Pamini Hemaprabha was pleased to bring the big honour home to the hotel.

On taking home the grand prize, General Manager Holger Schroth commented: “Though we are pleased to receive this award, it comes as no surprise to us that we have Asia’s Best Housekeeper employed at Emirates Palace. Pamini Hemaprabha is an asset to this hotel. She is a Master Trainer for Kempinski Hotels, and she is always striving to improve housekeeping practices, not just in the Middle East and Asia, but for the whole world.”

The annual summit represents Asia’s largest platform of the Housekeepers in the Hospitality Industry and endeavours to bring together the housekeepers across all Asian countries to enhance their professional skills, share knowledge, and network.

Housekeepers from 11 countries alongside Procurement/Purchase Managers/Director-Materials; Laundry Managers and General Managers of leading hotels attended the summit.

Commenting on the great honour, Pamini Hemaprabha said: “International Housekeepers Summit 2017 is perfect platform for Talent recognition and retention in the field of housekeeping. Winning the ‘Best Housekeeper in Asia 2017’ is a very exciting and humbling experience for me. I wish to thank my team, my family, my friends, and Emirates Palace’s management for inspiring and motivating me travel every extra mile.’’

Leading hotels from across India and other countries, including UAE, Maldives, Kuwait, Indonesia, Vietnam and New Zealand, participated in the Summit.
