Dubai Customs organizes “DC Run” at Port Rashid

Sports and Social Committee at Dubai Customs, in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council and Al Qudra Sports Management, organized the “Dubai Customs Run”, which will kick off on Friday at 7.30am at Port Rashid.

 

Participants can choose between 3km, 5km or 10km races, and they need to take all precautionary measures such as social distancing.

 

“Dubai Customs Run is an initiative to encourage all segments of society to be more physically active and follow a healthier lifestyle,” said Yousef Ozair Mubarak, Director of IPR Department and head of the Sports and Social Committee. “The door is open to all people from all nationalities, age categories and physical abilities to participate in the race. The government vision in Dubai is to make the metropolitan the most active city in the world.  

 

Around 400 people are expected to participate in the Dubai Customs Run, and medals and awards will be given to all who cross the end line.

 

Ozair urged all participants to follow the precautionary measures, including social distancing, to ensure safety for all. He pointed out that Ghayath Volnuteer Team was involved to help with the organization of the race. Members of the team will receive the participants, and register their names. A number of the Higher College of Technology students will also help in organizing the race.
