Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has hosted an educational workshop on implementing the Fourth Generation of the Government Excellence System (4GES). The workshop was organised by Dubai Culture’s Strategy and Corporate Performance Department, and welcomed employees from all of the Authority’s 15 departments.

The workshop educated employees about the categories and criteria required to implement the Dubai Government Excellence System, with a particular focus on Fourth Generation principles, and provided a full overview of the new updates that have been made to the scheme.

His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General of Dubai Culture, commented: “At Dubai Culture, we are committed to following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve the highest level of excellence in Dubai government sector operations. To support this objective, our workshop discussed several pillars of the Fourth Generation system, which will enhance our working processes according to three main principals: achievement of the vision, innovation, and enablers to achieve the highest satisfaction rates.”

Al Nabouda added: “We appreciate the efforts made by our Strategy and Corporate Performance Department to host this event, which aimed to spread a culture of government excellence among our employees. The workshop was led by expert supervisors who also prepared our employees to participate in the Dubai Government Excellence Programme by sharing insights into all of the latest categories and awards criteria.”

Dubai Culture is eager to adopt the Fourth Generation of the Government Excellence System, as it will help the Authority to improve its performance and achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence. The implementation process is currently underway, with Dubai Culture already harnessing creativity and innovation in its day-to-day work to enhance its services.

Reflecting its commitment to excellence, Dubai Culture achieved second place in the ‘Best Improvement Category’ of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme Awards 2016 – a scheme which aims to transform the performance of government entities by evaluating and rewarding their progress based on demanding criteria. Dubai Culture was recognised for its dedication to ensuring that its target audience enjoys the highest levels of satisfaction, and to establishing Dubai as a world leader in customer services.
