To celebrate International Women's Day, Reel Cinemas will be hosting the World of Women Cinema Festival 2019 (WOW) that will recognize outstanding films and achievements of women in the local and international film industry.

 

To be hosted at Dubai Marina Mall from March 7 to 9, the women’s film fair will showcase films by women producers, directors, writers, editors and cinematographers.

 

The event offers filmmakers, both established and emerging, and fans of cinema, the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of women.

 

Each day WOW will focus on different aspects and challenges that women face in today's world. The first day will be on ‘Relationship and Identity’,followed by ‘Women in Sport’ and the final day will highlight ‘Human Rights’.

 

The festival will host a multitude of award-winning semi-finalist films from the WOW 2019 program including films by male directors with a leading female gender narrative.

 

The fair will feature Directors from the films and special guest speakers who will also share their thoughts on the achievements of women in film and the art of film making. Panel discussions will also be held to share thought-provoking perspectives on the subject.

 

Priced at AED50 per day, visitors can access all screenings.
