As King Saud University (KSU) is leading the vanguard in promoting and supporting scientific research in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), it is therefore pleased to announce The 2nd Saudi International Conference on Scientific Publishing 2015, which will be held in Riyadh during the 1st – 3rd September 2015, 17th – 19th Thul-Qi’dah 1436 AH. The Conference will discuss issues and challenges surrounding scientific publishing in the Arab world with specific focus on indexing and ranking of journals as well as the difficulties faced by Arab researchers to publish in globally recognized journals. The Conference will also discuss the assessment of the scientific publishing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will demonstrate the global key performance indicators in this respect. This will act as a guide to the development of the Saudi journals, enhancing the quality of their publications and, finally, qualifying them to be indexed in the international databases.
